Joining in with memes

There have been quite a few memes on the blogs I usually read lately and I have really enjoyed reading them. I always like finding out about other people even in the rather shorthand way that memes provide.

When I had read a few I really wanted to join in but in general memes are spread around by tagging and it is against the rules to answer the questions if you haven't been tagged. I am not by nature a rule-breaker so I stayed quiet - but kept reading of course.

Eventually I began to feel like my much younger self, standing in the school playground waiting to be picked for a team, being left until last and too shy to put my hand up and say "Me me too". So I was really happy to come across Robin's Meme of fives which she was too tired to tag and so left open. I replied to it - although perhaps I should have put it here rather than in a comment - I'm new to all this!

I took up Robin's invitation on a previous meme, because I was feeling like you did, left out in the playground!

Do post it here if you feel you can, I'd like to read it. I am indefatigably interested in other people (my family calls it nosiness)...

My diary tells me I was at Britain YM Summer Gathering in Loughborough, giving a workshop on 18th century Quakers and worrying about my mother as usual!

What 5 things are on my to-do list?
Pack up and post things I've sold on ebay, finish reading a novel, read blogs, go to the supermarket, pack the dishwasher.

Whar are 5 snacks you enjoy?
Cherries, grapes, Bombay mix, olives, marmite toast.

What 5 things would you do as a billionaire?
Help all my children to buy their own homes; travel more; give money to improve the understanding of dyslexia; set up a foundation to encourage young artists, giving them time to think and a space to work in; set up a fund for improving the provision of disabled toilets in all public buildings.

What are 5 jobs you've had?
Librarian, literacy documentalist, workshop facilitator, serving in a shoe shop, tax office clerk.

Your turn next....
